1) Age

For admission to 1st year in BDS/MBBS through AIPMT 2015, an applicant must have completed 17 years as on 31st December, 2015.

Upper age limit: The upper age limit for an applicant is 25 years as on 31st December, 2015.

Note: For the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Classes, the upper age limit can be relaxed up to 5 years.

  1. SC/ST : 1 Jan,1986- 1 Jan,1999
  2. Other Category : 1 Jan,1991- 1 Jan,1999

2) Category wise

  1. General: 50 percent
  2. Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes: 40 percent

Locomotor Disability of lower limbs:

  1. General PH: 50 percent
  2. SC PH/ST PH/OBC PH: 45 percent

3) Eligibility for the OCI(Overseas Citizen of India)

For the students from abroad, who want to study in the colleges in India:

  1. Must have passed in the subjects such as: Physics, Biology, English and Chemistry in Class XIIth, up to 50 percent.
  2. The students equivalency must be determined as per the regulations of MCI i.e. Medical Council of India.

 

4) Important Note :- Applicants from Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Telangana, are not considered eligible for the 15 percent all India quota seats. This is because since its inception, these states have opted out of the All India Scheme.

In case they claim the eligibility, they must upload a Self Declaration, having effect such as:

  1. They are not eligible to take admissions in any medical college in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Telangana. They cannot be domiciled in these states.
