What is AIPMT?

AIPMT is All India Pre - Medical or Pre - Dental Test. This is conducted annually by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). AIPMT is the entrance for getting admission in different top medical colleges in India to pursue MBBS or BDS course.

Can I appear for AIPMT?

Getting the designation “Doctor” gives great pride and honor, it is the best way to earn pride and also the reward is lucrative as the packages are very high. Due to this the numbers of aspirants are high regardless of the tough road ahead. AIPMT is the first step towards the dream career; however the preparation should start from early stages. The eligibility criteria for appearing in AIPMT are like:-

  • Age: - The candidate must be 17 years old before the month December of the year of the examination
  • Age limit: - The upper age limit is 25 years for general candidates and 30 for SC/ST/OBC candidates
  • Marks: - The candidate should clear the 10+2 examination or equivalent from registered institutes with 50% of marks (general), 45% for physically handicapped and 40% for SC/ST/OBC
  • Subjects: - The candidate needs to pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Bio-technology and English individually.
  • OCI Candidates: - Overseas citizens of India or OCI are also eligible to appear in India subject to the rules and regulations of Govt. of India.

How do I register for AIPMT 2016?

Candidates can register for AIPMT entrance examination through online. The phase II will start as NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test as is considered as a single examination for entry into all MBBS and BDS colleges in the country. The NEET 2016 phase 2 will be conducted on 24th July 2016. For applying in AIPMT visit the official website www.aipmt.nic.in. Read the terms and conditions thoroughly to avoid any kind of mistakes.

Steps to register: -

Visit the page www.aipmt.nic.in and register with your email id and phone number

  • Read the terms and conditions properly
  • Check the eligibility criteria.
  • Fill up the form carefully to avoid any kind of error
  • Upload your required documents wherever needed
  • You will need to upload your photograph, signature and your left hand thumb impression
  • Other relevant documents such as self declaration form also need to be uploaded.
  • You can make online payment for registration. The charge is Rs 1200 for general and OBC and Rs 650 for SC and physically handicapped.
  • Don’t forget to note down the registration number.
  • Take a print out of the confirmation page.
  • You may also check the status of the submitted form online

What are the AIPMT exam dates?

The first phase i.e. AIPMT or NEET phase I was conducted on May 2016 and the NEET phase II will be conducted on 24th July 2016.
